"God has ordered my steps through what could only be 'His' ordering. In 2006 I attended a week in Los Angeles CA the Centennial Celebration of the Azuza Street Holy Spirit Outpouring. While hearing Paula White preach the Holy Spirit filled my hands with an anointing of heat and healing. Attended and listened to teaching of Mahesh Chavada prior to last day of that week and felt a strong urge via this teaching to go to Kansas City's International House of Prayer.
However, I decided that I needed a place to begin praying with others, so I joined our church team of prayers with the understanding that it was a trial period. I was told that I didn't quite fit with the team, so I was without a place and people with which to pray. So, I began checking on the internet the location etc.., to go to IHOP, and I "stumbled" across Austin House of Prayer, and met with Thomas Cogdell a few days later. I planned the trip with My Mom, Aunt and sister, Debbie who lived in Kansas. For the first time in my life, upon entering IHOP's prayer/soaking room, I instantaneously felt God's presence, the Sheikinah of God Almighty, His Glory, His Love. In 2007, God made the way for me to go to Israel, one of my hearts desires.
After which, He placed in my Spirit the intentional desire to attend "The Call" in Tennessee on 7/7/2007, again a move of God provided the way and the means. In the interim, I began feeling the anointing at AHOP every Friday night. Also, in 2007 had begun realizing a slight spot that looked like an insect bite on my breast. God began giving me scriptures in my spirit and leading me on a special 'fast', that I thought was to be in agreement with different groups, such as AHOP and "The Call". 'My steps were being ordered of the Lord' in ALL things. By the end of 2007, when I 'thought' I was released from the 'fast', the IBC began to make itself well known.
I was diagnosed with IBC on January 2, 2008. I struggled against taking the recommended chemo for the next seven weeks. God showed me Love, Grace and Mercy through my family and friends and His presence, and I was totally healed on the operating table on August 8, 2008. During the next few months I began recovering my strength and started attending AHOP again periodically.
The Directors of Austin Healing Room, Peter and Anne Von Wupperfeld and I had been acquainted through my job as a receptionist at a law firm, and finally convinced me to attend an Orientation Training to become a Healing Prayer Warrior, in 2009. This I did and started on the 'addicting' path of praying for, and being used of God to help others feel God's Love and Anointing.
By 2010, Peter and Anne asked if I would be an Associate Director for a Healing Room at Austin House of Prayer. After arguing my ineptness as a leader with God in prayer, God won and I agreed. Shortly thereafter, they realized that I would need to agree to being Director instead of Associate Director. No need to argue with God again, I knew He would win, so I said Yes. God has continued to direct us on the naming, the motto, and bringing in the ministers to bless and grow His ministry with His Love, and by May 27, 2010 we opened our doors as Ahava's Healing Center.
